Will you help Halo and other pets in need?

This Giving Day, you're raising money to support dogs like Halo - a sweet German Shepherd x Staffy who arrived at our shelter in desperate need of help.

Halo came to AWL desperate for food, comfort and affection. He had been roaming the streets looking for someone – anyone – to wrap him in love and tell him that everything was going to be okay. Thankfully, people just like you came together to save his life and give him the second chance he deserved.

Halo’s time on the streets had clearly been traumatising – he was far too skinny and needed urgent love and care to help him overcome his past. Thankfully, there are so many people just like you who refuse to stand by while an animal suffers. You joined forces to make sure Halo got exactly what he needed: three square meals a day and enough love and support to find a loving new family!

Halo is on the road to recovery and finally knows what it’s like to be loved, and it’s all thanks to the kindness of the South Australian community. We don’t want to imagine what his life would have looked like without your love and support but thanks to you and people like you, we know that his future is full of love.

But sadly, Halo's story is all too common... We have so many dogs and cats just like Halo. All they need is for someone to give them a second chance at love – a second chance they all deserve.

Caring for animals like Halo can be expensive, with the cost of food, shelter and vet bills often coming to thousands of dollars. Your generosity today will mean that every animal in our care can rest easy knowing you’ve got their back.
