Will you help Calvin and other pets in need?

When Calvin arrived at AWL his bubbly personality was hiding the pain this poor pup was in. When our vet team noticed his back leg was lame, they immediately did radiograph testing, which revealed a sharp bow in Calvin’s femur – this was likely caused by a fracture that had not ben treated, and healed badly. Due to the chronic changes, Calvin wasn’t able to use his leg properly so the vet team made the difficult decision to amputate his lame leg. We don’t know how long Calvin may have been wandering the streets injured and alone, but we do know he desperately needed help. Thankfully, people just like you came together to save his life and give him the second chance he deserved.

Calvin is on the road to recovery and finally knows what it’s like to be loved, and it’s all thanks to the kindness of the South Australian community. We don’t want to imagine what his life would have looked like without your love and support but thanks to you and people like you, we know that his future is full of love.
