For Kitty

Thank you to the Animal Welfare League of South Australia. 

From the moment we walked through the door they were there to help. After hours of searching and sitting with every beautiful cat in the Wingfield site we discovered a very patient Kitty. 

Her name was Cherub, no doubt because of her bright white cherub cheeks. But to us she was always and has always been simply Kitty.

She was a ‘senior’ cat, at 8 years old. Even recently we have laughed at the possibility of anyone referring to her as anything other than a baby. 

Thanks to the Animal Welfare League she was cared for and loved and was there waiting for us that day. 

We have had 6 beautiful years with our Kitty and we are now trying to come to terms with the fact that she is leaving us. 6 years has not been enough but an eternity would also not suffice. 

I am hoping to raise $600 for the Animal Welfare League. $100 for every year we have been blessed with Kitty in our lives. 

For every dollar I raise, I will double. 

With this money the Animal Welfare League can provide food, warmth, enrichment, vet care and love for the hundreds of animals that arrive each week.

Maybe someone else will find their ‘Kitty’ and be as blessed as we have been.
